What's in NMN Complete?

Four ingredients in one two-capsule serving: 750mg NMN, 750mg TMG, 50mg pterostilbene and 50mg apigenin. Here's what each one is, why they sit together, how the formula compares with NMN + TMG and NMN 1000mg Pure, what the human NMN trials actually used, and where UK regulation stands — without the claims nobody is allowed to make.

Quick answer

Two ingredients at 750mg, two at 50mg.

NMN Complete is a UK-made food supplement. Each daily serving of two vegan capsules provides 750mg nicotinamide mononucleotide, 750mg trimethylglycine, 50mg pterostilbene and 50mg apigenin — 1600mg of actives. 60 capsules, 30 days, batch tested by an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory.

NMN Complete is sold as a food supplement. NMN itself is widely sold in the UK but not yet authorised: a GB novel food application for β-NMN (FSA reference RP-2116) is under assessment by the Food Standards Agency, and EFSA published a positive safety opinion in the EU in 2026 with formal authorisation still pending. None of NMN, TMG, pterostilbene or apigenin carries an authorised UK or EU health claim, so nothing on this page describes what the product does for you — only what is in it, why, and what has been studied.

The four ingredients

What each one actually is.

NMN — nicotinamide mononucleotide, 750mg

A naturally occurring nucleotide and the direct precursor to NAD+ in the salvage pathway — the route cells use to make and recycle NAD+, a coenzyme present in every living cell. It is the ingredient the human trials have been run on, and 750mg sits inside the 250–900mg/day range those trials used. Read more: what is NMN · NMN dosage guide.

TMG — trimethylglycine, 750mg

Also called betaine. A methyl donor — a molecule that supplies methyl groups to the body's methylation reactions. NMN is metabolised to nicotinamide, part of which is cleared by methylation, which is why TMG is the ingredient most commonly paired with NMN. Read more: what is TMG · NMN + TMG explained.

Pterostilbene — 50mg

A stilbene found in blueberries and a dimethylated analogue of resveratrol — the two extra methyl groups make it more fat-soluble. It is the reason NMN Complete does not contain resveratrol: it is the alternative to it. Read more: what is pterostilbene.

Apigenin — 50mg

A flavone — a class of plant flavonoid — found in parsley, celery and chamomile. In NAD+ research it is studied in relation to CD38, an enzyme that consumes NAD+. Read more: what is apigenin.

The rationale — and its limit

Why four, and what that doesn't prove.

The pairing is built around one pathway. NMN feeds the NAD+ salvage route. TMG supplies methyl groups because the nicotinamide produced when NMN is used is partly removed by methylation. Pterostilbene and apigenin are the two compounds most often formulated alongside NMN in multi-ingredient "NAD+ stack" products — apigenin specifically because of its study in relation to CD38, the enzyme that breaks NAD+ down.

The honest limit: that is a mechanistic argument, not a clinical one. The published human trials tested NMN on its own. No published human trial has tested NMN, TMG, pterostilbene and apigenin together as a single formula, so nobody — including us — can tell you what the combination does that NMN alone does not.

If you want the ingredient the evidence was generated on and nothing else, a single-ingredient NMN is the more conservative choice. NMN Complete is for people who specifically want the other three included.

Three Vitality formulas sit close together. The table shows exactly what separates them so you can choose on ingredients rather than names. For the whole range side by side see Compare NMN formulas; for a neutral buying method see how to choose an NMN supplement.

The research

The human NMN trials, by study design.

NMN carries no authorised health claim, so we describe the published human research by design only — who was studied, at what dose, for how long — and do not summarise outcomes. Summarising outcomes as benefits would itself be making a claim.

Study Population Daily NMN dose Duration
Yoshino et al., Science 2021 Postmenopausal women with prediabetes, n=25, placebo-controlled 250mg 10 weeks
Igarashi et al., npj Aging 2022 Healthy older men, n=42, placebo-controlled 250mg 12 weeks
Yi et al., GeroScience 2023 Healthy middle-aged adults, n=80, placebo-controlled, dose-ranging 300 / 600 / 900mg 60 days
Fukamizu et al., Sci Rep 2022 Healthy adults, n=31, placebo-controlled safety study 1250mg 4 weeks
Outcomes Deliberately not summarised — no authorised claim exists, and characterising outcomes as benefits would be making one. Search PubMed for "nicotinamide mononucleotide" and filter to clinical trials.

Three things follow. The 750mg in NMN Complete is inside the 300–900mg dose-ranging study and below the 1250mg safety study. The trials are short — weeks, not years — and small. And none of them included TMG, pterostilbene or apigenin, so the trial data supports the NMN, not the formula. Full dose context is on the NMN dosage guide; how NMN compares with the authorised precursor NR is on NMN vs NR.

FAQs

Common questions.

Each serving of two vegan capsules provides 750mg NMN, 750mg TMG, 50mg pterostilbene and 50mg apigenin — 1600mg of actives. 60 capsules per pack, a 30-day supply. Made in the UK and batch tested by an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory.
No. NMN Complete uses pterostilbene, a dimethylated analogue of resveratrol, rather than trans-resveratrol. If you want the NMN + trans-resveratrol pairing, that is a separate Vitality product.
TMG (trimethylglycine, or betaine) is a methyl donor. NMN is metabolised to nicotinamide, part of which the body clears by methylation, so TMG is included to supply a methyl source alongside the NMN. This is biochemical context, not a health claim. NMN + TMG explained.
Both contain 750mg NMN and 750mg TMG per serving. NMN Complete adds 50mg pterostilbene and 50mg apigenin. If you want NMN with a methyl donor only, choose NMN + TMG; if you want all four ingredients, choose NMN Complete.
NMN 1000mg Pure is a single-ingredient supplement with a higher NMN dose. NMN Complete provides 750mg NMN plus TMG, pterostilbene and apigenin. 750mg sits inside the 250–900mg per day range used in the published human NMN trials; 1000mg sits above it.
No. Published human trials cover NMN on its own at 250–1250mg per day. There is no published human trial of NMN, TMG, pterostilbene and apigenin taken together as one formula, so the rationale for combining them is mechanistic, not clinical.
Two capsules daily with water, preferably with food. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. One pack of 60 capsules is a 30-day supply.
Yes. NMN Complete uses vegan capsules, is made in the UK and is batch tested by an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory. A Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
NMN Complete is sold as a food supplement in the UK. NMN itself is widely sold but not yet authorised: a GB novel food application for β-NMN (FSA reference RP-2116) is under assessment, and EFSA published a positive safety opinion in the EU in 2026 with authorisation still pending. None of the four ingredients carries an authorised UK or EU health claim.
About this guide

Last reviewed 14 September 2026 by the Vitality Supplements Editorial Team, written to our published editorial standards and quality & testing policy. We manufacture and sell NMN Complete, which we disclose openly — treat this as a first-party ingredient reference, not an independent review. Two editorial decisions worth naming: we describe the human NMN research by study design only, because no authorised claim exists and summarising outcomes would be making one; and we state plainly that the four-ingredient combination has not itself been trialled, because that is true and a buyer should know it. First published 30 July 2026; rebuilt 14 September 2026 with the study-design table, combination-evidence section and NMN vs NR link.
